Trekking through lush rainforests, you will witness the transition in flora and fauna, reaching the Machame Camp nestled under the towering Kilimanjaro peaks. Distance: 5 km Duration: 4-6 hours Temperature: 15°C 20°C Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail leads to the Shira Plateau. As you ascend, panoramic views of the Shira Cathedral and the vast expanse of the plateau unfold, offering a taste of the diverse landscapes Kilimanjaro has to offer. Distance: 4 km Duration: 4 hours Temperature: -5°C 5°C Ascending to Barafu Camp, the landscape becomes more barren as you approach the arctic zone. Barafu, meaning "ice" in Swahili, is your last stop before the summit push, offering breathtaking views and a surreal sense of anticipation.
