Commence your hike at Londorossi Gate, beginning with a scenic trek to Mti Mkubwa. The route spans approximately 6-8 kilometers, characterized by lush forests and a moderate climate with temperatures around 20°C (68°F).

The trail advances to Shira 2 Camp, covering a distance of about 8-10 kilometers. Traverse through heath and moorland zones, encountering varying temperatures of 10-15°C (50-59°F) and experiencing the breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau.

Today's journey takes you past Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp, spanning roughly 10-12 kilometers. The diverse landscapes transition from alpine desert to volcanic rock formations. Temperatures may drop to 5-10°C (41-50°F).

FAQ Regarding The Tour

The Lemosho Route is moderately to highly challenging, requiring good physical fitness and endurance due to varying terrains and altitude changes.

Essential gear includes proper hiking boots, layered clothing for varying temperatures, a good quality sleeping bag, trekking poles, and a sturdy backpack

Basic toilet facilities are available at designated campsites. However, it's advisable to bring personal hygiene supplies and be prepared for rustic conditions

Altitude sickness is a potential risk due to rapid altitude gain. Acclimatization days are built into the itinerary, and our guides monitor trekkers' health closely. Adequate hydration and a slow ascent pace help minimize risks

Charging facilities might be available at some campsites for an additional fee. However, it's recommended to bring portable chargers or power banks.

Bottled water is available for purchase at some campsites, but it's encouraged to bring water purification tablets or a water filtration system to refill from natural sources

Nutritious meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided throughout the trek. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice

Our guides are trained in wilderness first aid. In the event of an emergency, evacuation procedures are in place, including emergency communication with rescue services
