Distance: 2.5 km Hours: 3-4 hours Temperature: 20-25°C Landscape: Dense rainforest, lush vegetation Today, the journey begins as we drive to Londorossi Gate. The trek commences through the verdant rainforest, filled with diverse flora and fauna. Arriving at Mti Mkubwa, set camp amidst the enchanting surroundings.

Distance: 8 km Hours: 5-6 hours Temperature: 15-20°C Landscape: Moorland, scenic views As the trail continues, the landscape transforms into vast moorlands. Trek towards Shira 1 Camp, witnessing panoramic vistas of the Shira Plateau along the way.

Distance: 14 km Hours: 7-8 hours Temperature: 10-15°C Landscape: Alpine desert, rugged terrain Climb through the alpine desert terrain, passing the dramatic Lava Tower. The route takes you to Moir Hut, where you will spend the night, surrounded by the rugged beauty of the landscape.

Distance: 10 km Hours: 6-7 hours Temperature: 5-10°C Landscape: Rocky ridges, Barranco Valley Today's trek leads to the striking Lava Tower before descending to Barranco Camp through the Barranco Valley, offering stunning views of towering cliffs.

Distance: 5 km Hours: 4-5 hours Temperature: 5-8°C Landscape: Scree fields, glacial valleys Embark on a challenging yet rewarding hike, tackling the Barranco Wall. Traverse through scenic scree fields en route to Karanga Camp, situated in a picturesque glacial valley.

Distance: 4 km Hours: 3-4 hours Temperature: 0-5°C Landscape: Alpine desert, proximity to summit Ascend to Barafu Camp, the final base before the summit push. The landscape transitions to an arid alpine desert, preparing for the summit attempt.

Distance: Summit day (approx. 5-7 km ascent, 15 km descent) Hours: 12-15 hours Temperature: -5 to -10°C (summit), 5-10°C (lower slopes) Landscape: Glacial and snowy terrain, rocky sections Begin the exhilarating ascent to Uhuru Peak, reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro. Descend to Barafu Camp for a brief rest before continuing to Mweka Camp for overnight stay.
