Your journey commences with a scenic drive to Londorossi Gate, the entry point to the Northern Circuit Route. The day's trek takes you to Big Tree Camp, where the lush rainforest envelops you in a symphony of nature. Covering approximately 7 kilometers, you will acclimate to the surroundings and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Accommodations: Big Tree (Mti Mkubwa) Campsite
Ascending to Shira 1 Camp, you will traverse Mti Mkubwa, entering the heath and moorland zone. The landscape transforms, offering expansive views of the Shira Plateau. A trek of around 10 kilometers introduces you to the changing terrain and prepares you for the days ahead.

Today's trek leads to Shira 2 Camp, crossing the Shira Ridge. The altitude increases, and the surroundings evolve into an alpine desert. With a distance of approximately 7 kilometers covered, you will witness the stark beauty of Kilimanjaro's high-altitude ecosystems.

Ascending further, the trek to Buffalo Camp covers approximately 12 kilometers. Passing through the high alpine desert, you will witness the transition to the sub-arctic zone. The day's trek provides a sense of accomplishment as you approach the halfway point of the expedition.
